White Admiral (Limenitis camilla)

  

Given that the caterpillar foodplant is Honeysuckle which is present in almost all woods, this is a surprisingly localised broadleaved woodland butterfly and apparently absent entirely from the west of the county.

Often soaring frustratingly high in the canopy, White Admirals do come down to eye-level to visit Bramble and other flowers.
