Ringlet Aphantopus hyperantus
A widely-distributed species through the county, The Ringlet is a grassland butterfly that prefers moist conditions and favours sheltered and humid sites in woodland glades and along rides and hedgerows rather than open fields. It is also unusual in continuing to fly in light rainfall provided that conditions are not too cold.
